IMO, one of the answers is those popular anti-scam YouTubers. It doesn't take long before you realize every one of those videos reveals the real, non-spoofed location of the call center is in Kolkata, coupled with the fact that, in spite of the YouTuber giving all the information to the relevant Indian police, nothing ever happens, and even if they raid the place, nobody is arrested and a new call center is up and running a month later by the same people. I wouldn't be surprised if this, after a while, radicalized quite a few people watching those videos and subbed to those channels.
