Most of the concepts aren't that hard to understand and you can pretty easy design a CPU that can run your own designed instruction code so you can have your own programming/assembly language for the CPU. having that you can run it on a fpga or synthesise the actual hardware representation. if you have the money you can get that shit into production.
but whats actually magical are the machines needed to create modern cpu's and how precise everything needs to be in these processes
