1. Share & Spread Local, Decentralized Power

Authoritarianism thrives on centralization. Resilience comes from decentralization—of food, energy, information, decision-making.

Support or start local mutual aid groups (even online ones).

Learn and teach peer-to-peer tools: offline mesh networks, cooperative file sharing, crypto only where appropriate, co-ops, FOSS tools, federated social media.

Help others access knowledge in regions with censorship or algorithmic isolation.

These systems reduce dependence on exploitative corporations and states.

---

2. Undermine Extractive Narratives

We’re fed stories to keep us compliant. "You can’t change anything." "You need to consume this to be happy." "It’s too complicated."

Push back:

Support or create media that deconstructs these myths.

Expose the mechanisms of manipulation—advertising psychology, attention economy, manufactured consent.

Practice slow, intentional living where possible. It’s resistance.
---

3. Refuse the Binary of Capitalism vs. Communism

The real divide is not red vs. blue, but freedom vs. domination, solidarity vs. exploitation.

Try to imagine and support post-authoritarian models:

Horizontalism

Participatory budgeting

Solarpunk infrastructure
Gift economies
Degrowth or steady-state economies
Even thinking these things is resistance.
4. Build Psychological Defenses

Truth

At least 80%!!
And only like 5 truly peak, good. Boy that tv keeps you coming back because there is no RL equivalent. Not to flying all over the gd scenery kicking heads off generally acting and performing like a superhero in a gloriously post apocalyptic urban setting (last of us, mm! Mm mm mm! Scenery porn!! So gud!) with convenient power snack bars, and water /shelter, located all over the place.
And very very few people I mean, only on Vidya is that a possibility on Earth, to even pretend to experience that.
So anyways like fantasy escapist Vidya has it's unique uses and such
But I'm general sorta addictive and frustrating.
But I'll always hold a special place
in my corroded heart for
Dying light
Seriously
And even Fallout 4!!
And ofc the entire last of us series
And the Etherium backstory to CoD zombies, and esp esp esp the best in term of just action play, not for suspended try until dawn, which was pretty good and different, and I like that glass3eye dude who also financed fckin The Battery(!!!)
and has a old timey radio horror thing called Tales From Beyond the Pale!! But anyways I forget what I was saying and now no longer really give a shit

Watched a thousand singing movies never considered that being the zombie would be my fate.
>t.Fugoid lump.

of the best
all of that
Stars of the Lid
Last Man on Earth
Dinner with Andre
Black Moon
THE MAGICIAN (Bergman)
Baraka on Mushrooms
These Final Hours
First 1/2 of Tidelands
Coherence
and etc

esp if you are playing a game like cod were ppl have been working paying to win for a decade.
