The Japanese government has called on European and Asian countries through diplomatic channels not to take part in the events and military parade in China on September 3. This was reported by the Kyodo News agency on its website.

The events are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the war of resistance of the Chinese people to the Japanese invaders and the Second World War.

According to Kyodo, Japan has informed States that the events focus too much on the past and also have an anti-Japanese connotation. Tokyo recommended carefully considering the possibility of the participation of heads of State in these events.
