Logic "needs" grounding in God is the same tier of pure sophistry as the argument for morals "needing" grounding in God. It's quite literally the same garbage argument as claiming that you cannot be a good person if you don't believe in God, which we've come to expect from internet theologists.

>Muh you must concede that murder is okay if God doesn't exist
>Muh you must concede that people can turn into frogs if God doesn't exist.

How about come up with better arguments, or even better real some proof next time, eh?

If they wanted to go the full "licensed service provider" route they should have updated the game with a lot more new content, instead of shutting it down and releasing another full-priced version. Ubisoft and EA and other companies killing a software to release "software 2" is just another way to make money, an evil way at that.
It happened that some companies updated their games with new graphics, new gameplay, new content, without resorting to remaking/remastering them or even releasing DLCs. I take The Witcher 3 or For Honor by Ubisoft even, for example (although the latter is loaded with seasons and microtransactions, the game has already been completely overhauled).

The Crew 2, Destiny 2, "other games 2-3-4-5-etc." are just another dishonest way to make more money on the back of players. Nothing justifies not simply updating a game if it is already considered only a *service* by the company.
