I could be wrong but I don't remember much grimposting during that time either, mostly because actual fans don't constantly whine about things. Once it was contrasted with the silver(?) age of HoloEN with advent, omegatroon firing, gura return etc. then people felt more comfortable shitting on the grim era. It certainly helps that Kiara flat-out confirmed management got an overhaul and things were looking bright now (then).
