It has been suggested that the flap of a butterfly's wings can start a hurricane.
Realistically, that is highly improbable.
1000 butterflies acting in unison can whip up a shit storm, though, enough to make Mr. Lahey quit drinking for good...
I envision the unraveling to be something along those lines. There's no need for networks or groups (but there is an obvious benefit to them). It's a simple understanding that there's nothing left to lose, and when the ball begins rolling on one part of the table, the rest will just respond instinctively.
The primary ingredients were already put into the soup decades ago by those who thought they could use constructed "happenings" to their advantage. The Changs have openly written about such strategies; however, they, along with the elitists they court, genuinely suck at the long game. It's why they struggle now in desperation, trying to hang onto the reins of the circus wagons that are careening off their meticulously designed paths. They neglected to bolster the infrastructure required to carry out such plans, in essence leaving their asses exposed. It is in this environment where "1000 wing flaps" could unsettle the whole edifice for Good. I envision a series of events like a horrific symphony building up to a crescendo where the brass section busts out a hit (fortissimo) that one can feel in their chest, even sitting at the back of the theater. The question becomes, "do you resonate with it?"
Or just shrink into a corner, shivering in fear?
