That's like normal damage in old monster hunter.

What weapon are you using? Hit and run anon. You're fighting a monster. You might be able to squeeze in a hit right after one of his attacks. If you need to heal, heal when you would have a big opening to attack. Healing takes THAT long yeah. You have to trade an opportunity to attack to heal. So try not to get hit at all.
