I can barely remember most of the details about season 1 aside from how it started, some of the stuff that happened at the place Rin was staying, and the fight with Mephisto's little brother.
How much of the stuff with the eyepatch teacher was canon anyway? I think I remember him being connected to that thing you mentioned, but I think somebody said that wasn't canon.
