Everything is fascism to some people. One of my favorite examples is when people keep describing the Eusan Nation in Signalis fascist, when it's East Germany in space fighting a revolutionary war against the Eusan Empire. I would actually argue that it's one of the more faithful depictions of socialist government in fiction.
