You aspire and you desire but you dont believe. You dont research. You dont improve. You aggrandize. You use it as a crutch and you dont believe in anything but yourself, your journey, and your own importance. If you truly believed you'd follow the teachings as best as you could, and you'd prostrate yourself before the divine in submission, so that you, if you are extremely lucky, you could be blessed with even a fraction of what you seek. You'd dedicate your whole life to it and that would give you power.

I am a mean motherfucking servant of God. I dont believe in dogma because it's unnecessary; it's gnosticism with a coat of paint. I dont believe in an afterlife because, while it would be nice, it's none of my business. I dont believe in ritual because I dont believe in creating a tulpa for someone else. I have faith in the divine order of the universe. I have faith in God, but I dont personify the nature of God, I embody God's will by living according to my nature. I believe in struggle. I believe anyone can be redeemed if they try hard enough, and that all life is suffering. I believe in humanity and I believe in myself. I've read Aquinas, Kant, and Kierkegaard, but I've also read the classics, eastern philosophy, and contemporary philosophy.

The gift God gave humanity is to make a heaven of hell or a hell of heaven, to turn tragedy into progress in spite of all logic to the contrary. I live it and embody it every day. You do not. You only believe you're the main character. I've spent two decades arguing God's existence. I've seen the abyss and refused it. What have you done?

I am a man. An ordinary man. But I do as I must; it's my nature. And that is the essence of divinity.
