My super libtard little sister seemed to have the same revelation. She’s not the brightest woman ever, but she is genuinely empathetic and unironically buys into the bleeding heart shit, it’s not some ploy or some veil to justify evil like it is with a lot of others that share her positions, I’ve tried to explain they just use her rare state of having genuine feelings and compassion against her.

But she made a post and was talking to me yesterday about how disturbed and upset she was to see how gleefully all of her friends and people she typically agrees with celebrating a brutal murder from gun violence, when that’s supposedly the thing they’re all fighting against and are terrified by. If the second someone disagrees with you comes along and gets his neck blown up in public and you just immediately dance on his grave, why the fuck would ANYONE listen to you then pretend to cry and bloviate about your retarded position on gun policy as if you actually give a single fuck about saving lives or ending violence?

I think it helps to realize a lot of these libtard people have boomer/Gen X parents who are more politically conservative but still kind of boring and normal like Kirk. So a libtard who still loves his/her father on some level even if she thinks he’s a misguided Trump supporter, will not be able to compute their political allies rabidly cheering for the violent public murder of someone who could as well have been his or her own dad when they were the same age as Charlie’s kids are.

Tl;dr libtards who are actually empathetic, if retarded, are extremely shook by the bloodlust of people they thought were on their side and it is interesting to watch the fracture over this
