honestly, I don't think most of the people in this thread, including (You), understand what art direction actually means. It's not just about "game look good" or "pretty screenshot". It's a holistic design philosophy that encompasses the entire aesthetic design behind a game and how it contributes to the overall experience alongside things like gameplay, music, and story. A good example would be pic rel, where the entire art direction of the game is designed in such a way as to put forth a specific aesthetic interpretation of the book
