Lets look at this in a more logical way.
Do we get upset when we are asked our age?
Steam asks me to put in my age before I look at some games. It's been that way for a long time. I gave Steam my age. I don't care.
Do we get upset when we are asked to have a photo ID? I have my driver's license. The answer is yes because I hate going to the DMV, but it's also no, because I do it anyway, because it's less hassle to give up a bit of my time and money to have my RealID registered with my own government. It's not like I can avoid being snooped on, they have backdoors and datacenters that copy all info and redirect the copy to the NSA and all of it is parsed by AI's and everything that ever happens will be recorded and logged and catalogued and tagged and scanned and profiled, and filed and there is nothing any of us can do about it. They've been doing it for years and nobody started a civil war when Snowden told us.
So this is a nothingburger. Everyone is just going to accept Real ID verification and age verification being commonplace all over the web.
I just pray it ends the bot farms from overseas.
