Kind of, you have to understand that this is more an attack on the Christian God specifically than it is about God in general
Remember, only religions that assert that God must be wholly-good are religions that fall victim to the Problem of Evil. If you are willing to accept that God must not be wholly-good, then the problem of evil goes away. Many other religions understand this. Even many Christians understand this. It's only mainstream Christianity that fails this fundamental test.
