Does anyone else enjoy the water battles in the rotk games? I feel like i'm one of the few people that actually goes oh neat a water battle. I was reminded when I ended up in a water battle with Liu Biao's forces when I was expanding (playing as guan yu as a force and left that silly can't get it done lui bei's forces). and moved south to engage with sun ce and lui biao in that area while lui bei fails in the north with lu bu and cao cao's forces. Anyways I actually enjoy the water battles and find them a nice change of pace and wish they happened a bit more often on the maps.

I love and hate 9/empires. empires blows for tons of reasons but the battle is fun at least. pity that's all it offers. dw9 wasnt bad in a mmo run around do whatever sense and fighting enemies. I would randomly go to far out areas and just grind levels when it would do that xp day/week thing. So I got a few characters that are level 30+. however I just didn't care for the game overall and mostly just load it up to mmo and goof off. I prefer the prior game setups and origins while fun is going a route I prefer be another side game and we stick with the old setups.

Hell i'm STILL waiting for them to make an empires that has features that were in 4/5 empires and sw2 empires that werent in 7+ empires for no reason. koei has dumb ideas on what to put in their games and the lack of love shows sometimes in features they dont add. dw8 empires is fun but where's tons of the options dw5 and sw2 empires had in them. while do older games offer more features and options and cutscenes. Hell dw5empires I get interactions with the characters in battle and dw8 its just GOOD JOB ON THAT 1000 kills we couldnt do it without you and you are a true warrior of the 3 kingdoms. like where's my banter and other stuff the older games seemed to have but later lack.
tl;dr: koei sucks and newer games lack older features for reasons, water battles are fun, and dw9 is a fun gimmick mostly.
