That’s only because of bad writers, Batman is the most flexible and diverse character of all time, he can be campy, he can be serious, he can be edgy, he can be old, he can be young, he can be cocky, he can be humble, he can be wise, he can be aloof- and yet will never truly feel out of character- what you see as a weakness is a testament to his versatility as a character, most writers tend to lean towards his edgy side because quite frankly that’s just the most interesting take on the character, this weird psychotic billionaire who plays dress up to fight other psychotic manchildren in costume in life or death scenarios, with the only thing seperatiing them is that the bat has the restraint to not kill- if you want to write a camp Batman story then do it OP, but spare us the jargon on “blah blah blah proper Batman blah blah blah character development”
Because there is no proper Batman, and he’s not a character that’s made for development since he’s not really a character, he’s a concept you can play with in any way you want and too many people do not take advantage of that
Getting filtered by Batman of all characters is quite frankly embarrassing, he’s literally babbies introduction to characters
