Things have changed many times over since the 1790s. America is under no obligation to have any kind of racial majority in the 21st century.

Once it dips below 50% white, America will never have a majority race again, as long term miscgenation will occur, making the concept of race trivial in the end.

We just have to love them hard enough until they embrace democracy.
