tbf I was already fucked up around the time the breakup happened because it was my best friend's first birthday since he passed in late April and all that trauma was welling up. Just a couple weeks before the incident with her I was in her arms crying about that. Kinda fucked losing someone you've known your whole life, especially after they were in recovery and doing well. Plus life was sucking for both of us in general so it was common we'd both be blackout or near blackout drunk most nights.
