How do you know there aren't agents monitoring your social media right now building up profiles? Having surveillance with facial recognition requires having cameras in real life locations so that's off by a few years. The only reason it might not be happening right now is not enough resources to do so.

I guess it's just surprising because 4chan isn't discussed ever when I'm talking to normalfags in real life.
Even if 10 well adjusted coworkers used 4chan consistently none of them would ever bring it up, whereas places like twitter are more open and normally discussed.
