Not really. I make videos of plants and insects with nothing but my phone camera, a clip on macro lens, and a laptop running free software. I'm not making a dramatic film with a story and actors, and the quality of my video isn't professional grade, but I put it out there and other people seem to appreciate it. If you're enthusiastic about something outside yourself you won't be such a head-case.
