>I saw it happening before
Keep in mind that janitors will only know they're doing something wrong if they ask or if they're corrected, this could take years of doing something wrong before it happens.

Listening to users is a surefire way of over-moderating things.
>Perhaps there are mods with different opinions on this
I can think of particular cases, yes, but even they'll tell you something like: "NOOOOOOOO MUH PARTICULAR BORDERINO CAN'T HAVE X IMAGE THE OFF-TOPIC RULE CLEARLY ALLOWS YOU TO DELETE ANYTHING THAT ISN'T TOPICAL!!! IT STAYING UP WOULD, HMMM, IT JUST WOULD RUIN THE BOARD OKAY???!!!! Oh, on other boards? Sorry, this only applies to this board because of board culture and since it's le special :^)".
>Inb4 "NOOOOO YOU CAN'T JUST SHIT TALK MY BORDERINO HECKIN MODERATION!!!!"
If the shoe fits...
>that's why I decided to ask on /j/ where we are anonymous
I don't think this subject is that consequential that you'd need the veil of anonymity in order to get honest second opinions. Hopefully you don't have reservations about DMing mods with questions or posting in moderation.
