this got me thinking, if ireland and wales have the harp, scotland has the pipes, what is england's true organ? we have to have a quintessentially english musical instrument but i can't think what it would be. picrel is the northumberland small pipes but this is hardly a national symbol regardless of how aesthetic they are at every level
