Did you deploy Specter last by any chance? The map has little ranged pressure once the swarm is gone, but it does have global range enemies attacking in aoe, so if they were targeting Specter that could've killed him.
Either that or the reviving cows that spawn at the bottom, those are ranged as well for some reason
