I'm sure you can look up the Orthodox response to your question online, of which there is much information on the topic. But put simply, God Himself commanded images to be made around the Temple, angels on the Mercy Seat of the Ark, etc. God doesn't contradict Himself, it's not a situation of "law for thee and not for Me"

I encourage you to look online and study more about this question and see how the Holy Fathers thoroughly put to rest the Iconoclasm heresy over 1200 years ago (787 AD was the 7th Ecumenical Council) but again there is much more digestible content online to resond to contemporary protestant questions from their reformed upbringing they inherited growing up in this culture.

You didn't read the picrel. The Church says God did not create evil. You are not the Church and your interpretation, whether as an outsider or as a Baptized, Christmated, and Communing member of the Church, is irrelevant.
