If the homeowner blindly shot through the door without any kind of verbal or visual identification/warning its an automatic felony. If the cleaner saw/heard the homeowner and still refused to leave it depends on state law. If it can be proven the cleaner was actively trying to break into the home dispite attempts at communication from the person inside then it would still depend on state law but the shooter would almost certainly get off.
