A very mixed bag but mostly drama. A lot of people didn't like a super known content creator that wasn't part of the wheel house of XIV just suddenly doing stuff in XIV and their community.
Some genuinely thought this would do the game good as it pulled people away from WoW but didn't think the other side of the coin that came with it.
