I imagine once technology progresses to that level and becomes affordable, people are more likely going to opt for stuff like plug-in cybernetics. Like if you want a tail that's cool but rather than grafting a tail onto the bottom your spine, people would have some kind of port implanted that they can plug a cybernetic tail into, so they can just unplug it when they go to work or whatever.

Actually grafting animal parts onto yourself would be something only diehard furfags or body modification fetishists would do.
