If Trump thought he would actually have to deliver on the Epstein files, he would have never allowed his team to mention them.
But he let his team campaign on releasing the files and hype up releasing them after he took office, because he genuinely thought a photo op with a bunch of Twitter propagandists on the White House lawn would be enough to satisfy MAGA. That they would accept the narrative that the files had been "released", not bother to look into what was actually presented, and move on to the next shiny thing he dangled in front of them.
Trump's stunning lack of respect for his base and their intelligence is directly responsible for this whole thing blowing up into a now months long scandal.

Remember when the Democrats forced Trump's admin to host a big event at the White House where they promised to release Phase 1 of the Epstein files?
And how the Democrats forced them to invite all of those right wing influencers and forced those influencers to take pictures of them smiling and holding up binders that were supposed to contain bombshell new details about Epstein?
And then the Democrats forced Pam Bondi to say the Epstein files were on her desk and would be released any time now?

Whatever happened with this?
Some of the most trusted right wing twitter celebrities all showed up at the White House and got physical copies of the newly released Epstein files.
DC Draino, LibsofTikTok, Jack Posobeic, Mike Cernovich, people who have been lauded as trustworthy sources of news on Twitter, /pol/ and Rumble for years.
They even had a big ceremony for it and everything.
Did any of them ever share the new info they got?
