It’s actually crazy the sheer snapshot (get it) Genshin powercreep changed. Take like Hu Tao vs Neuvillette, Hu Tao lasted probably until Arlecchino(debatably). That’s like 3 versions of solid meta power compare that to Neuvillette who’s already entering his driver life cycle to keep up.
Never forget Neuvillette on release he was the (arguabe) best character in the game. A big reason why Hu Tao fell off was about comfort than damage. Now every character has some type of comfort or they have a BIS sustain + buffer. Making Neuvillette’s built in less needed and his damage is getting outclassed. Not to doompost he’s not terrible and still top 5 but he shows how Genshin is rapidly fucking over units in a matter of months (Arlecchino).
