The first time we see Ruby is in her Red trailer, and that's all about choreography and showcasing her weapon, you can't make this episode without adding special effort to the choreography.

You know this effect on RWBY were everything is reduced to black and white with the characters retaining just one main color? They need to do something like that for either the end of a segment of the fight

It's not hard to keep both separated while pulling feats that are consistent in the two versions I hope they don't go full mental illness and have Maka with Both a Black Blood dress + Grigori wings and Piano Soul while also having her be half weapon.
Also please use her manga version for the animation, it has better visuals and abilities.

This is something not even modern RWBY does anymore, CR has a pretty stablished way of unfolding and extending, there's people in real life who have managed to create replicas of the weapon.
If they really want to respect the IP they should try to at least animate the weapon transforming properly
