It's true that as time has went on, on average designs are a bit more cluttered with other design elements but I still think in their roots they have some qualities from nationalities
Henry is a great example of being one of the most far out designs in a while but she still feels British to me (Might be the medals?)

This is also true, it's not true that all non-nation/history based designs have came out in recent years. We certainly had a few near the start as well
