Well for starters, you need to get the thyroid condition under control, without that, your hair isn't going to stop shedding.

Finasteride wouldn't work for you because your hair loss is related to a thyroid disorder (TSH, T4, & T3) and fin only targets DHT, so no on the fin.

Now minoxidil on the other hand could definitely help, but, just like with genetic related hair loss, you need to target the underlying condition, in your case, that would be your thyroid levels.

Get your labs done, and your doc will prescribe you some meds based on what they think you need. And generally speaking, people with thyroid disorders usually have vitamin deficiencies as well, so you should ask for a vitamin panel, if they refuse, ask for another doctor until they give you one, or, if they just keep refusing to give you one, you can always order one from lab corps but it will cost a hundred something dollars.
