Yes, Ford competes against a Renault with the Ford Puma line competing against a Renault Captur for exemple, but a Ford Ranger most definitely doesn't compete against a Renault Captur, just like a hypothetical "PSP3" (companion platform) would compete against the Switch line (line of companion platforms), but the Switch line didn't compete against PlayStation 4/5 or Xbox One / X|S, or like the Nintendo 64 competed against the PlayStation, but the Nintendo 64 didn't compete against the GB | GBC.
