Oh, I'm SO glad you brought that up! As a matter of fact, I was curious about this "reptile" business that was brought up last year, and so I decided to do some research into the subject. And what I found about my lineage, was particularly valuable and validating when it comes to my birthright. Please examine the accompanying chart, and allow me to educate you.

After the world was created, the creator goddess Nüwa created the first rulers of the Earth; the Dragons. Being directly blessed by the gods, they held the Mandate of Heaven to rule over all. The ones who weren't blessed were the other creatures, who were descendants of the mere fleas that fled from the primordial being Pangu. Anyways, the Dragons ruled for millions of years, until their dynasty became corrupted - no doubt by sympathy for mammals and the like - and were punished by the gods for their crimes with divine fire.

From here, the Dragons split into several clans, otherwise known as the greater "Reptiles". There were the failures, like Turtles and Lizards and Snakes, and the brief period where the greatest accumulation of divine blessing was in "Dinosaurs"... but eventually, a new dynasty emerged, who had regained the Mandate of Heaven: the Birds, ruled over by the Phoenixes, having emerged from the ashes of the old world. Today, the Phoenix Dynasty is known as the Peafowl Dynasty, being the closest inheritors of the Phoenix blood. There are several other branch families, including Partridges, Quails, and Pheasants, too, but all birds have a decent amount of divine blood.
