No, Fresh peaks so high that it only serves to clarify the troughs. All the cool buildup and tension to when Setsuna joins is completely wasted afterwards. The main point of interest is (and rightfully should be):

But every other part of the show flounders around trying to make this point, and none would argue that I am not right about this assessment.
