Likes to drink, but doesn't like to drink in front of other people because of her (merited) fear of doing something embarrassing in front of them. Probably will end up being an alcoholic due to her social anxiety, self loathing, and self destructive tendencies.

Pretends to like fancy whisky or wine to show off. Secretly would rather have beer. Drinks occasionally, acts the most "normal" of the group when she is drunk. Likely will blurt out a confession to her male friends when she is too drunk and pretend not to remember it the next day.

Likes beer and mixed drinks. Low tolerance, so she gets drunk quickly. She is the "I love you guys" kind of drunk, but is also gets weepy once she gets too drunk and the mask slips off. Most likely after Yuri to end up being an alcoholic due to her depression.

Likes to party. Likes the girly fruity drinks and doesn't care what other people think about it. Low tolerance because she is small. The most "fun" of the group when she is drunk. Usually a friendly drunk, but can go from 0 to 100 in an instant. The one most likely to get kicked out of a bar.

That is an assumption. Free will and suffering are two separate things.
Animals can suffer, and they don't have free will. An infant can suffer, and it doesn't have free will.
Bad things can happen to people through no fault of their own.
Of course, people often bring themselves suffering to themselves through their actions or lack of actions.

You can look at it that way. If free will is a curse, then it is a curse in the sense that being alive is a curse.
I see it as a challenge. You have the opportunity to make some sort of life for your self and have some sort of standards to hold yourself to. Freedom is the starting point, not the end point.
