There were only 5 sponsors who got them so it’s not a quantity thing and also they don’t do the printed or embroidery themselves, they pay the company to do it. As for cost, that shouldn’t matter when the lowest cost badge for one is 2.7k and embroidery over printing is at most like $50 more
In fact, I heard that backpacks they did for the same tiers last year WERE embroidered, but they seemed to cheap out on a lot of the sponsor merch overall this year. See picrel for the absolutely unforgivable quality failure that was the fanny pack
