everything you said is right, except it's not just zoomzooms saying that part about grafics
but i agree that something like samsho even with its delayback netcode would have been a pretty good hit especially at locals pre-covid, and snk just can't get out of their own way

and likewise, yes, cotw undoubtedly would have been a little more well-received back then based on appearance alone, it clearly doesn't look like a modern game
