The problem with this theory is it doesnt explain why the Europeans in Sumer and Egypt made the advances they did. While I agree the cold forces unity within a group (and, by extension, rivalry between them - for resources to survive) - only genetics gives them the ability to make the discoveries and inventions that they did.

Even so, 8000 years ago in Europe, near the Caspian sea, European ancestors were building double story houses with gabled roofs and central heating.

No other race comes remotely close. None.
