One thing that scares me about having all these cool collabs coming out this season is that Epic is going to get all the wrong signals from it. We've been getting tons of boomer big names added with KOTH, deadmau5, Halo, MMPR, and Gorillaz, with Beavis & Butthead, Daft Punk, Scooby Doo, and Friday the 13th coming down the pipe, but I worry that the bean counters are going to see all those next to some of the worst numbers the game has ever pulled and go "welp, there's no money in pandering to '90s kids and the playercount proves it, time to add more mumblerap and tiktok trends" and that'll be the end of fun old-school collabs. Same with the gameplay to some extent. My friends and I liked the PvPvE angle this season had, but nobody's playing it because the matchmaking and balance just keep getting worse aside from removing medallions, but the bigwigs are going to think nobody likes Helldivers at Home and we'll never get a proper take on a season like this again. It had every opportunity to live up to its name and Epic fucking pissed it away. I hope someone throws Tim's rock collection into a volcano.
