For guard id leave it tbqh lad. It's a horde army and I'd drive myself mad having to paint 100s of eyes. No so bad on NL black though agree. I do my vamps with pure white eyes for the most part.

I think they are deffo that mirror for old WFB vampire counts aye coupled with the paradise lost/apocalypse now themes. GW have a talent for mashing lore together and making it work no matter how daft.
