Lots of really nice benefits to doing at least 1 4 year contract with the military. VA Home Loan and such. Plus Border Patrol and shit like that loves hiring vets.

I don’t know about better pay. Enlisted pay gets a bad rap because civilians don’t know how enlisted pay works. E-5 ain’t terrible, especially with BAH.
E-3 to E-4 is kinda shit, but it’s literally for 18 year old retards living in the barracks. There’s not a lot of better paying jobs you can get as an 18 year old retard than E-3.

You could always enlist Air Force or Army for 4 years and go Border Patrol right after. Jobs that directly translate for that is shit nobody wants and has bonuses. Like SecFo, MP, etc.
