Maybe, but Sandy made a whole trip to visit Roseville after the start of school, and we saw her texting/calling Mike AFTER Lucy came back, too.
It seems like Sandy is SUPPOSED to be the reason Mike is all mopey and miserable, since the comic has repeatedly shown him looking sad next to a panel of his texts going unanswered. But if one actually tallies things up, Sandy is just about the only thing since Lucy's return that's made Mike happy for even a moment. Since then, Mike is bitter and self-pitying with Sue/Daisy, resents Paulo for being fairweather and an asshole, looks like he's staring down the barrel of a rifle any time Lucy's around, and he apparently has schizoid-style missing time and full-on disassociation.
