Bounty Hunter is fun with shotguns, but Claim the Bounty doesn't really show you explicitly through which squares your AoE shots will pass through, so it's kinda shooting in blind. Still, I made dual shotgun Merc Arbite BH and he was very competent, especially with those overpenetration and other buffs BH has

I don't disagree with him. Archetypes are meant to be very general and overarching combat roles so Warrior is just a Strength Warrior, while Bladedancer an Agility Warrior. I honestly struggle to come with such general archetype that is still not covered by them, except for a Medicae, but I don't like existence of heal classes to begin with in games
Archetypes are supposed to be further personalized with Origins and Homeworlds and of those we could use much more. Some of the companion only Origins like Death Cultist, Bolter Bitch and Cold Trader should become playable. Arbites and Psyker (and unplayable Navigator) mog other Origins so hard with their depth and variety, others really should be brought up to their standard with SubOrigins and more variety in talents

There are too many inherent problems with it to fully fix but the worst are
>Momentum, resolve and their cheat code that are Heroic/Desperate Actions
Are just an inherently dumb design, but they are too integrated into the game with items, abilities and archetypes even designed around them. They are impossible to remove without completely overhauling the game, which can reasonably only happen in sequel
>Too many enemies are too basic
Battles would feel a lot different if enemies were allowed to use Archetypes players do. Being on receiving end of pic rel would change power creep a lot. If they are so adamant about simple power fantasy, at the very least throw more bodies at me, since maxing out enemy buffs in difficulty stops making any difference later anyway. Either way they would need to redesign all encounters, so lol
And there is initiative fuckery too
