Well, slave revolt was born in egypt, assuming it isn't all one big larp. These accusations of leprosy and mixed blood are quite ancient and popular among the Greeks though, so much that the bible even goes to defend against it. So at least Josephus is using real criticisms of the time. However yes it all could be one big retrofit. The biblical patriarchs only come into the record around the time of the Library of Alexandria. So some people think it's all one big larp.
