In all seriousness though, I think autism is either over-diagnosed (just like ADHD back in the day) or is being used as a placeholder for an unknown/series of unknown conditions. It doesn’t make sense to me that autism has no discernible cause, no discernible cure, a severity range from “awkward” to “completely nonfunctioning”, and is also growing in prevalence disproportionately among young men.
