They haven't abandoned that. They've just given her more screentime focusing on her being a sleepy neet. There were scenes in Aphelion where they alluded to a "button" that would force G11 into maximum overdrive, but 416 was hesitant to play that card. She enjoyed threatening G11 with it though. My memory is fuzzy on this last bit, but I think that she even pressed it later in the story when things got dire. To no effect though because G11 was already pushing herself at that point.
Also, while Andoris was the one who pulled the trigger, G11 was the one who powered their big ass railgun that they shot the deer boojum with. G11 basically is still playing the role of 404's "Big Gun" that's held in reserve 99% of the time.
