E.Z.Kollah wouldn't exist without Carl though. Villains can't exist with a Hero. This concept is actually a really big part of the general theme in Dragged In. Carl is hard-working blue collar worker who asks for nothing but a livable wage and a father who truly loves him, meanwhile E.Z Kollah isn't satisfied with the fame and fortune he already has in spades.
This theme is best exemplified in the Casino Robbery scene. Or how E.Z willingly starts and involves himself in the central plot of the movie, while Carl is just a bystander who was Dragged Into this conflict by things outside of his control.
