You mean the 2008 crisis? The current crisis is WAYYYY worse than that one. I have a seasonal business that weathered 2008 without a blip, as it did every downturn since then. But my sales are down like 90% this year.
It's kind of funny though because in real terms, real estate and rents are collapsing. Those who saved in gold are doing very well. But young people haven't had an opportunity to accumulate any savings.
They will kill you to get what you have before this is over.
